remove the sunroof glas, this makes the job easier then you have to clean the recess the seal fits in with something like brake cleaner to degrease the channel, then i used waterproof carpet adhesive which sticks rubber and plastic, sprayed it into the recess(very carefully or you will get it everywhere),then fit the seal with the moulded join to the center rear of the sunroof, press in firmly to make sure it has seated and refit the sunroof glass making sure you center the glass on the seal,i have done this and ive cured my leak,

Did that very thing last night - mine went in easy - at the risk of insulting your intelligence are you sure it's the right way up/round? I confess it was a bit confusing when I was trying to work out which way myself! You could gently ease a short section of the seal in the other sunroof out to compare - also check its the correct seal you've got!

I pushed mine into the groove with a finger but the short lengths where the glass was in the way needed a blunt screwdriver.

They are a bloody fiddle, but clean the groove thoroughly and start at the front and ease it in, stretching it slightly towards the corners. They will seem too small and keep popping out, but stick at it and eventually you wonder why you struggled. It can be hard to persuade the corners to sit down if you don't stretch them slightly. I found it easier to wind the sunroof back to do the front and then tilt it to do the back. The flange that fits in the groove needs a firm smoothing with a finger to be sure it's seated. I didn't use any sticky to keep it in place.

Have had both my sun roofs' out, not a difficult job, just time consuming. Cleaned up both seals and refitted. Whilst I was at it I, very very carefully, tightened the cables that work the glass and the locking mechanism so the roof pulled down onto the seal tighter.

Also re-designed the two (per roof) bits of cheap plastic that the drain hoses go into. Used bits of ice cream tub and lots of hot glue and non setting frame seal that I use on my caravan. So far success, no leaks, even with the heavy rain and also repaired one of the front drain hoses where some idiot had screwed the map holder thingey (bit above the sun visors) through.

Will let you know if there are any further developments!!!
