Freelander 2001 with usual broken rails teeth etc in the sun roof. So look on ebay and do lots of research knowing what I need exactly. I have seen on ebay sunroof motor gear and it shows a white plastic what appears to be a gear wheel but being unsure I ask the seller the questions but no reply. Has anyone been able to replace a worn gearwheel on a sunroof motor and if so can they tell me where I get the parts? Also I was thinking when I am at this stage I would replace the cables too if possible but I cannot find them anywhere ?

Sunroof motor gear wheel is metal and fixed to a motor which is riveted together. the plastic wheels are for the left and right hand roof mechanisms.
