another question about the disco's built in shower unit!!:eek:

loads of posts but no real answers on the search doofa, wondered if anyone ever solved it.

when the rain roofs are on tilt they rattle and bang and sound like they're going to drop off, stripped them down and tightened everything up but cant find anything loose :confused:

any thoughts

have the same problem ... but it does not seem to bother others on here ...
just wondered if you had found something in the mean time as i have 2 showering zones on my Disco ... and wanting to take all the roof lining off to fix at the same time water and rattle prob

its a 98 300tdi gs, dont think ive ever used the back watering hole but i take it it will rattle, seems to be a bit better when you go past tilt and slide it half inch- but still sounds like its about to drop out.
seems solid when i rattle it but bangs like buggary when driving
 
my 98 300tdi front sunroof rattles (and leaks:confused: ) but the rear one does not rattle (but it does leak) the only thing i could see was some the plastic runners? wheels? in the mech were maybe more worn in the front one as its used more than the rear
I am about to embark on a strip out of the roof and the sunroofs front and rear to cure(hopefully) the leaks so i,m gonna investigate the rattle as well at the same time
