Hi Ben,

Normally Discos and Defenders - the AT tyres will help but there's usually nothing that bad - not been down to the north Essex lanes so can't be sure. The only one I know will be a problem is Violets lane which is ok for diesels but my 3.9 EFI doesn't like swimming so I won't be doing that one....

If your venturing into north Essex, especially around the M11 area, be careful of one very dangerous lane. It goes alongside a very deep drop off and is near impassible by 4x4.

I saw it for the first time the other week and after the front vehicle (a very capable disco) was rescued from falling in the rest of the group backed out.

Get advice or take somebody who knows the area to lead.

Unfortunately I don't know the lane as I was in a group just following.
 
Ok, let me know when it is and I'll check my shift pattern! Where is violets lane? My freebie is a diesel but they are not to great at wading!
 
Hi all im in the suffolk area me and a few friends normaly go to thetford or to pay and play days at wild tracks in redlodge or bures pit but also do some local lanes near sudbury would be good to meet with others
 
I have been around the Essex lanes a couple of times with other clubs now and then, but not for a while due to other things like work.

Its a bit of a drive for me as I come from Gatwick, but if there is space for one more and I can make it I be happy to tag along, as love to get out and about again, there are some nice fords, one of which I remember seems to last forever with water over the bonnet. Talk about face turning white.

I'm interested in finding some decent lanes around Suffolk, new to green lanning so if any of you guys are still about and don't mind a tag along that would be great!

There's a few lanes in rendlesham howie. Also a few in the surrounding areas of thetford which me and my missus done yesterday :)

I am yet 2 take my disco off road, I want to go green laning but don't know where to start, so if anyone is out and about in this area and don't mind me tagging along then give me a shout :D
