Got a prob with water getting in the blower ducts of my 2001 P38 4.6,
Checked pollen filters, drivers side wet and pass dry so, resealed them with silicone and all seemed well under several gallons of hose pipe water until I put the blowers on full as it seems to pull water in from somewhere. My question is can water be drawn in from the plenum area under the middle of the windscreen? Is there a drain at the bottom of the plenum or can this get choked up like the pollem filters and overflow.
Have also taken out the ducting from the motor under the drivers side by the pedals and can see no water until blowers on full.

Got a similar problem. Sealed up the pollen filters but still have water dripping from above the accelerator pedal when it rains or after going through the carwash. It's definitely not o-rings and the ac drains are clear.

I've been having the same problem. I noticed that the mesh covering the blower air intake had perished away which had allowed large debris, twigs etc, to get sucked into the pollen filters and blower ducts as well as allowing rain directly into the phlenum and down into the blower ducts.

I solved mine by clearing the debris and water from the ducts at the blower (fortunately mine was passengers side) then I bought some gardeners black plastic fruit netting, scrunched it up (technical term) into a sausage shape, undid the bottom screws from the intake cover, removed the wipers, and stuffed (another technical term) the netting in.

Make sure it isn't too dense as to obstruct the air being sucked in. Having had several heavy downpours since and no drips, I'd say it works.

I asked on here about drains from e air intake, it seems logical but I haven't had any replies as yet and rave doesn't make it too clear either.

Quick update, Stripped every thing around the pollen filters and resealed the lot, windscreen strip, pollen filter housing and replaced plenum filter with aquarium grade foam. Now this is where it gets silly. Started up RR turned on AC to full and all fine, put it on recirculate and water was pouring out from blower ducts, I never even put any water on the car and dried up any small remains of water. Now thinking it might be something to do with air dryer? System was regased April last year and have had some green looking oil near the AC drain holes.

I can only speak for the passengers side (on a RHD model). remove the glove box and the shelf beneath it, the blower motor will be there in front of you.

I drilled a small hole at the lowest point of the duct to release some water (quite a lot came out so have something ready to catch it), then i removed the blower motor and removed all the accummulated cack by hand. If you have got some sort of hoover that will let you get in, then fine. After I was done I just covered my drill hole with srtong tape.

The drivers side can only be marginally more difficult (I'm sure someone with more experience will correct me on that). You must have to remove the lower steering column shroud and shelf.

Hope this helps.
