Installed in that position, the fan needs to suck air through the rad, so it needs to rotate clockwise when looking at it from the rear, as we are in the photo.

Is that the most efficient direction of rotation? Not sure...

It looks like the concave face is towards the rad - which is incorrect. If that is the case, you might be able to turn the fan around , so that the concave face is towards the engine and then wire it up accordingly.

agree +1 what he said..
the curve of the blade is to draw air through it.
if it rotates wrongly, it`ll do feck all really.
can you not put the fan outside of the rad, to push air through........

wired up standing on the floor will demonstrate which way it blows air efficently

just turn the fan blades over :) normally they have a "D" vshaped hole to go onto the motor shaft and will fit both ways :)

must admit to having a great leccie fan that needs to go outside to push air through..

but cant be arsed to fit it.....

I`ll do it -- "one day"

blow. it wants swappin to the other side of the rad to work efficeintly.
as others have said, swap the polarity and run it backwards, but it wont be as efficeint.

Clockwise if standing at the bfront
Blades wont do much in the other direction as they are curved
If fan taken off and put on the other way then the blades are still at the same angle.....try it:)

True - but the shape of the blade will have changed. If the voltage direction is then corrected, it will suck not blow....... Try it :)
