I have an autoleads cable system rand new never been used. That allows you to plug your kenwood straight into the disco's sounds system and keep the Dash controls. you'll need to buy the small patchlead for you stereo (IIRC £5 from Halfords)

Ok, All your connections will be at the head unit end so from the Kenwood you will need a pre-amp output with the left and right channels commoned up via patch lead ie, both centre cores together and both screens together so you end up with two wires giving you a mono signal, these two wires will join/connect to the audio plug which has a single black (screen) and a single red wire (your mono audio signal).

The amp in the door will require a permanent power supply, that can be picked up from the permanent supply to your head unit (not the ign supply). the colour of the wire suppling the permanent power to the amp is purple but maybe light green/orange.

Also the amp requires a switched supply which will be you blue wire from the Kenwood this wire will connect to an green/orange but maybe purple/yellow wire as there was a colour code change at some time.

U will have to adjust you pre amp bass gain via the units menu to suit the amp..around 50Hz or 80Hz to start. Thats about it.

AFAIK - the sub/amp power supply is built in to the rest of the cars electrical system and has nowt to do with the HU. All I did was make up the RCA Patch lead and connect that to the two cores on the separate multiplug
...

U did't cut the plugs off then as did gizgray, but but were do you think the supply originates from ?? That right, cables via the back of the head unit

This is the two main plugs top right is audio and the other is an ISO which has the dash controls, lighting and power supplies to the sub amp and head unit, there is a third that only has the loudspeaker connections.
You may end up with a birds nest to put away as I did
