People think injectors come on a rail with ecu til they see BMW under my bonnet.
Hardly anyone believes me I didn’t put it in there Is standard.

I'm no expert but i thought fuel returns only came in with injectors

No the V8 in my 75 reg 101 has originaly an in tank electric pump with return to tank from RH carb...ive modified supply to remote electric pump and standard get anywhere fittings (ie tractor get anywhere in the world)...the reason there is a return is so fuel is cooled i beleive...it also had a cutout to pump that operated on oil pressure switch...if pressure too low fuel pump imobalised and yes its a 1975 reg...

The carb'd v8s were a much nicer sounding unit when compared to the later fuel injection units.

jut sayin..

Off topic somewhat but I had a Lotus 7 back in the mid-70's and the twin Weber 45DCOE's down draught carbs made an amazing sound!

I had a V8 110 1985 CSW, ended up putting su's on it after getting fed up with the (IIRC) idle control bi-metalic things on the strombergs getting all old and knackered and upsetting the running at low revs.
