think I will still have a crack at it, ill just stick to the back roads!

The transit is sounding like a tractor (running rough) and there is a fair bit of white smoke coming out of the exhaust and a loss of power.
Guess that is the last we'll hear from him...froggy plod being what they are:eek:
 
Back roads in France is like the middle ages, he'll be hanging from a tree with a sign round his neck by now

He'd have been better off buying a cheap 3t car trailer then flogging it back here, he'll pass a lot of checkpoints on the way back, the fines can be bad for unsafe towing

bit of confusion in the report .... caravan in one line and 40 ft mobile home in another.....but plod did say it had no brakes.... and they caught him when the landrover stopped with an electrical problem.....
 
the french towing laws are 3500kg max gross weight tho my info could be a few years out of date
