Ah sorry i just assumed it would be one rule for all vehicles from lorry/tractor/truck/van/4x4/car... Interesting to find out what the rule would be...

I tried looking it up I know this cuss when me old man build a 90 v8 with cheriki wheels and axels he wanted exhuasts at the rear roof Dvla said no
 
I'm sure this has been discussed before, IIRC its illegal, some to do with hot eggsauce where it can injure pedestrians etc. Could be wrong though:confused::confused::confused:
 
There a 90 near me with one on and it has a silencer roughly where it goes past the window. Looks different but he has some mad huge engine in it. Like a v8
