South Wales is a little far, probably. Can anyone post a 'closest town' location please?

I need to try my new winch anyway, nowt to do tomorrow ... only trouble is the round trip might cost me a small fortune, like two fill-ups!

Sorry, just read the post again .. 'Swansea' ... 4+ hours each way, 247 miles ... Think our lass would kill me.

Waiting for an update and ignoring the bottle of single malt that's trying to catch my eye

Just a question.

Is LZIR just turning into some sort of freebie rescue service for any old Tom dick and Harry??

Possibly
It’s a voluntary service, so if anyone fancies a jolly????
If not, they don’t have to go.

Mind you, I am a bit disappointed that none ( so far) of the local LZers have replied.

It's always been that way, once assisted they usually become a willing LZIR volunteer even if not an active forum member.

It would be difficult to make an LZIR rule for some sort of minimum input but volunteers can decide whether they want/ can assist in each case.

LZIR is just a means to pass information and put people in touch with each other
