Check your oil for emulsification and check your water level.

That might give you a clue regarding condition of the head gasket.

Those are fine atm, i checked last night on the roadside.

Oddly enough today she has been right as rain other than the lack of higher revs, it's not like she's struggling, more like she just has a limit.

Paul, crack off the bleed screw on top of fuel filter whilst it's running, see if you've got any bubblies coming out.

Sounds exactly like the trouble I've been having with the 110, narrowed it down to the compression fitting on the fuel sender leaking slightly and letting air in.

Could also be lift pump as that gives the same symptoms that you describe!

As yet i haven't had time to rummage around in the injun bay, but i may have a possible lead on it.

I 'think' it may have something to do with one of the turbo to manifold bolts having sheared off, there is a tiny gap between the area of the turbo and where it touches the manifold. When reved, i get exhaust coming out of the gap, not a major amount but enough for it to be seen easily.

This doesn't explain the white smoke on high revs, but could it explain the lack of top end revs?

I will get my mitts grubby in the next few days for a good look at various other areas
