Hi all,
Have searched but can't find answer to this aspect of the rear window problem!
Cable has snapped with the window in the up position, it is a three door so I can open the door by removing the roof, yes cable snapped, found all the advise about kits and diy with cycle cable. BUT can't get window down to release the glass.
Any advise please about how to lower the window the requist distance in order to be able to get the glass out them I can follow all the good info I have found!

Many Thanks,

Chris.

i suppose the only answer would be take the roof off to open the door then take door card off and replace cable etc. with the door closed it'll be tight against the seals etc. unless RAVE or landy dealers have a "special" way. good luck, take photos, I'm sure your not the first to have this happen 3dr or not.

Thanks but done all that!
Windows is in the up position, and to remove the gubbins and replace the cables everything I've read says window needs to be a few inches down to get at the bolts that clamp the window to the gubbins so the window can be removed first!
BUT, I can't seem to get the window down!

All good fun!

Chris.

oh I see now, well i suppose look at whats holding it up, must be the cable wrapped around spindles and ****, so cut it all away to free it up. Ive never had the fun of the back window, but done plenty of other doors on the freebie!!

Yes, the brute force and ignorance route with wire cutters on any suspicious looking cables is the way I'm thinking too. But will wait until the parts arrive as window conveniently stuck up and it is winter!
Was hoping someone might know a less destructive more subtle solution!
Thanks for the reply anyway.

Chris.
