Hi all
Yesterday I came off the motorway having driven about 40 miles. While in stop start traffic, I noticed the suspension was stuck in motorway height and there was no real pull from the engine, in fact it was very sluggish. However, after parking the P38 while visiting friends everything ran as normal on the way home. Weird or what ? I thought that I should have calibrated the ride heights after fitting new rear air bags, or maybe the sensors were playing up.

motorway height should not affect engine at all .if in high lift ,notice comes on dash max 35mph but does not affect engine. I would suggest that the two are not connected

I recall tbh been some years since p38 ownership it could take a fair while after exiting motorway before it selected normal ride height on my vogue 50

Mine sometimes does that. Seen it on another 96 4.0l too. The time it takes to return to normal height changes, I guess to allow slowing for traffic. Sometimes it seems to get stuck. Press the inhibit button, select normal height and deselect inhibit button and all will be back to normal. I have no idea if this is an early symptom of something or an error in the earlier EAS software. If anyone knows the whereabouts of the EAS revision timeline I'd be interested!

I'd be interested too. I gave the P38 a good run up to motorway speeds this morning to check things out. No problems, suspension working as it should. I'll bung the EAS diagnostics on later to see if picks anything up.
