Stuck Cartridge in Multi-changer CD Discovery (Under Drivers seat)....

I get the message 'No Magazine' when I press the 'CD' button on the stereo.
There is a magazine in there but it won't eject..........
Is there any way to get it out without removing the unit?

It's all way helpful to give the make of the item or the model year of the vehicle so we can identify the system u have, but for the Philips unit just run a credit card over the top, but maybe underneath, the cartridge to trip a micro switch and the cartridge will pop out.

Discool's tip with the credit card worked on my Disco 1 and my Disco 2 looks practically the same.

It is an Alpine XQE100240.
Credit card didn't work. there is one spot underneath that it wouldn't go under or move anywhere from the front, could that be the eject mechanism?

The card trick is for the Philips units which could have the stuck cartridge issue, as mine did a few times.
You would have been lucky to find it working on your player, possibly that's why on other threads on this subject the player is removed and dismantled to remove the cartridge.

Once it has started doing that I think its a sign of wear and its very common. To get it reconditioned is about £90. The same happened to me and after getting sick of fiddling around I bought a new head unit with blue tooth for my phone built in for around the same money. Fitting was a doddle and it sounds better than the 12 year old system anyway.
