Hi all,

Recently bought a series 3 1972 petrol and noticed this rather annoying rattle (see attached url below). Comes on at higher revs whilst in neutral, but is more prominent when in gear (and then is across the rev range). Any ideas what may be causing it?

I thought that but then thought you'd hear it all the time?

In the early stages it goes away as oil pressure rises and cushions the bearing.

thanks all, changed spark plugs and still there unfortunately. So potentially a worn Conrod bearing ?
