I've got a strange rattle coming from my driver's door. At first I thought it might be the door check strap but this seems solid but gives an idea of what the rattle sounds like. What I have noticed, however, is that it only does it when it's raining or just been raining. On dry days there is no rattle.

When it is doing it you notice it most driving over small bumps (expansion joints, road repairs, etc).

Anyone else had this or got any thoughts?

OK, it is the door check strap. I've looked on RAVE and can't find instructions on how to replace. Anyone done one of these. I know it shouldn't be hard but I want to avoid taking apart anything I don't have to!

Tratter boys reckon the doors come orft when it gets wet. . . .

its a well documented fact, gaylander doors fall orf if they get wet. i thinks its newton's 5th law

any portal fitted to a gaylander will disconnect from the vehicle when in contact with water

Fit a back one recently, Take door trim off, Undo 2 x 10mm nuts from outside and tap pin upwards
Strap will fall into door, remove and replace
