Hi all, I recently bought my 1.8 petrol serengeti and despite several members opinions I am very happy with it.

It comes with an AA warranty...so not too concerned however, when I drive it, it makes a strange whirring sound, very similar to the road noise caused by off road tyres. I initially took it back and they told me it was the new tyres which were fitted and that it would gradually fade.

It hasnt. I am thinking either wheek bearings or clutch.

Any help/suggestions greatfully received.

Check the VCU - look for Willo or Tippex method.

Try swapping the tyres around from side to side. Should that sort the noise out then it is the tyres.

The tyres are all brand new, and the directional tread pattern type

Is that new all around, new on front or new on back?
