Sorry if this has been posted before or is a really dumb question but I've searched the owner manuals and I can't find anything about it.

I've had the Disco for a couple of weeks now and occasionally when I'm out and about I see a light in the top right of the dash flash briefly for just a second (too quickly for me to get a photo) and then go off again. It doesn't happen often but since I don't know what it is I don't yet know if its something to worry about.
From what I can see it looks like a tank with waves in it and a drip underneath it... as I say I've only seen it briefly a couple of times so my description might not be the best.

This one?
Disconnect it from the bottom of your fuel filter, they are PITA and not needed

Yes!!! That's the one!!! Why isn't there anything about it in the owners manual? granted I was looking at an online one so it may have been for a slightly different model or something but its strange to me that it wasn't in there

Thanks Iancorky!

My 2004 disco didnt even have the electrical connection yet every fuel filter ive ever seen has the plug on the bottom
As @Iancorky says, disconnect and tuck the wire away/secure it and forget ;)

Unscrew the plastic yoke on the bottom of the fuel filter until clean diesel comes out, if there's any water in the filter it'll drain out. In theory

Thanks will give this a try but if its not going to kill the Disco I might just disconnect it like you say :)

I didn't get the manual with the vehicle so have been looking online mate, like I say I probably found a link to the wrong manual.
If you download a copy of RAVE, you'll have the owner's handbooks, workshop manual and loads more, some useful, other bits not so.

Rave doesn't work on crApple products or mobile phones but is fine on Windows.

Owners manual on its own is available to download in pdf form on funrover.com to get you started

Ignore that I am an idiot. It's the defender manual
