I'm on holiday this week planed on working on the discovery but water has made the key fob not work.
Don't know what disco you have but you can open it with the key, via the lock on the door. Just the alarm will sound until you stick the key in the ignition, and maybe, turn it.
Thiis works for discos 1 and 2. I unnerstand that for later models you have to fek about on the left-hand door moving a little plastic cover to find the lock hole, then do the same.
Did you drop the key in a puddle or summat?
Or do you mean that water ingress to the disco is stopping it working?

It's a d2 td5 the key fob didn't work after a flat battery about a year ago.
I used my hawkeye to use the key only. Alarm is off so is immobiliser and the central locking is intermittent with the key or the switch on the dashboard. No water in bcu did have in fuse board . If I use hawkeye it unlocks and locks every time. I cleaned up my fuse board and stuck it back in

The front window s don't go down to day and the central locking with the key but if I leave it for a bit they start working
