Hi all. I was having a good rummage in my new beast. I noticed this connector next to the sub woofer. Does anyone know what it's for. I took a couple of pics.

I have 2002 p38 4.6 petrol vogue

No idea but from the word Phone printed on it I'd have a stab at some sort of hands free kit was fitted?

There's no type of hands free that I can see. But it made me think this was a connector to add one.

Yep that's what it is iv got a Nokia hands free kit going in mine soon and it has the phone mute wire on it I will be connecting it up soonish

iv also got a brand new 7110 which i had chipped to work on the 3g band its the sort of phone that would have been fitted to the car when new

Looking at various posts. This was to connect an in car phone. Just like the one your mam had on a table in the hall

I have a Nokia 2110i which I have had for donkeys years....no longer works with the modern 3V sims.....also the charging is hit and miss....when you say you had yours 'chipped' what do you mean?

I'd love to have the old brick back in use!

I have various old Nokias kicking around, some of them really could be used for breaking and entering. I loved Nokia phones. They were all excellent until Microsoft got involved. Nokia really were totally done over by that guy who left Microsoft, f*cked up Nokia and then went back to a top position at Microsoft, job done. Totally trashed the Finnish economy. How Microsoft got away with it is a mystery. Incidentally, I believe it is pronounced "No-kee-ah" after the place.

I've switched to Android which I'm not exactly happy about but at least it isn't a bl**dy Blackberry. Have to use one of them for work. I've had loads (because they keep breaking down) and they're all sh!te!

If I was your mate, would your mates mate do a favour for his mates mates mate?

I can only ask saint iv got a couple other Nokia's I want him to try and sort out their what would have been fitted to the car when new same as the 7110

Would love to have my Nokia back up and running. It worked to make phone calls and you couldn't break it by sitting on it.

Could it be possible to say get a cheap phone and monthly pay as you go (as little as £4 a month) so if your car is stolen you could track it? it would be on charge all the time too
