Last night i was working late so decided to pop out and pick up a pizza and on they way back (about half 9) i passed a police van parked at a juntion he then pulled out behind me and pulled me over. when i got out to speak to him he said. no problem sir just a quick check to see that you are the owner, as these vehicles get stolen alot and it is a funny time of night to see one about. he took my name and address and said thats fine as that was what had come back on his radio so he let me on my way:) when i got home i thourgh how good it was to see that they are keeping an eye to the problem of stolen landys:)

Thats excellent. Folk often comlain when the feds pull them over, but i'd be happy if they stopped me every day, knowing my landy is safe.

Did they look for any engine/chassis numbers? I guess they wouldnt really know where to look I suppose.

Nice work

Thats great news there actually doing something, they must have been board :D are all landy drivers on a curfew  seems odd that they thought 9:30 was an odd time to see a landy on the road

At 9.30 a funny time of night wonder what he would think seeing me on my way home at 3,30 am.Must admit it dont get my back up if they pull me I just wish they would be out there pulling people more often and catching some of the drivers driving while under the influance.

Nice if it was true - but at half nine - not exactly an unusual time is it?????

Methinks they were just after an excuse to check you out - did they by any chance have you blow on a straw?

I don't care what time of the day they pull m over. IT's the thought that counts.;):D:D:D

they didnt check for numbers or anything else (like my lack of number plate light :))
they also didnt make me blow in a bag , they just asked my name and got me to confirm my adress. that was it. i did say to the misses afterwords that i hope he was a real police man and not someone just wanting to know where to find my landy at night lol

same happened to me a few weeks back, i was made up, he just asked for an id and said he wanted to see who i was. It didn't bother me i just hope they carry on checking them out.

There used to be scheme in our area where you put a sticker in the rear window and if a police car saw you out after 9 with it they would pull you to do an ID check.

The difficult to remove sticker being a deterrent to a thief I guess as well as an invite to the police to stop you.
