Just wondering why my my pump has a stop solenoid with 3 wires and all the other discos has a single wire ?

im trying to find out why my disco wont start and with the ignition on, i unplug the stop solenoid but dont here any clicks

is yours auto?

Yours has EDC

3 wires ? are you sure its the stop solenoid

Are you sure you aren't unplugging the EGR control instead of the stop solenoid?:confused::confused::confused:

You would have to break the security box off an EDC controlled pump to get to the solenoid.;)
 
ratty iv hear you can gently break the box off the back and live a wire to test it , would that be correct fella thanks
 
no i havnt ratty i will upload a picture now i have a sensor on the top of the pump with a blue plug 3 wires and a black box on back of pump were the 4 diesel pipes go to injectors
