Hi

I was driving down a country lane going home this morning and the Stop! Oilpress message came up on the dash. I had no option to pull over for several hundred yards as I was completely blocking the lane but did eventually stop.

Can I temporarily top it up as I have an appointment at the local specialists next week anyway and don't have the means of doing it myself at the moment.

If I can to a temp top-up fix, what oil and how much?

Thanks

Ian

Low oil level will lead to low oil pressure - top up and you should be good. 5/40w or 10/40w rings a bell.

The later M62's don't suffer oil pump failure like the earlier M62's in the mid to late 90's BMW E38/E39.

About 2 - 2.5 litres from low to hi on the stick I think.
