Just woke up this morning to find a strangely large space on my drive :(. My defender 90, only had it since August, has been pinched whilst i was in the house.

If anyone sees it, long shot i know, let me know.

Can i ask what anti theft stuff you had? I am just trying to think what I could add to mine to stop it disappearing as I am just down the road in chesterfield

sorry to hear about another one gone :( pity the other motor was not parked behind it like in your picture

Basically it was all pretty much standard, had an immobiliser i think but thats all. Figured it was pretty safe on the drive given my front room is right next to it as is bedroom upstairs. Guess i was wrong :(

i had started to park my other car in front of it on the drive too so it was parked in but had i done that last night i am sure they'd have just bumped that out the way, given that its a £20k BMW i am kind of glad i didnt.

already resigned myself to not ever seeing it again.

indeed, thats my BMW though, i am sure if they wanted it bad enough they'd have just rammed it out the way, would have done more damage to that than the landy was worth

Just a few more details on this in case it is spotted (though not holding my breath)

Had fold down steps on the driver and passenger door, adjustable tow bar with step on the back (tow bar held with two zip ties to stop it bouncing), the rear cross member has been recently painted (before i bought it mind) so is pretty good in appearance for its age. Also, checker plate on the wheel arches on the front, new door seal (fitted by me) on the passenger side, and drivers door was a bit loose shutting it, often required a few slams (not that i expect a car thief to let you try the doors out!). Brand new load liner in the back too, the sort that goes up and over the wheel arches, and a second hand cubby box in the middle. Also, the stereo is brand new, removable front plate Alpine, with Ipod lead on the drivers side in the dash.

The wheels are fairly distinctive, black steel wheels but with a thin red and blue pinstripe on the rim, Cooper Discoverer ST's on them.

Sorry to hear of your landy going walk abouts.

Please could you look at the poll at the top of the stolen landrovers section and tick the relevent box/s for what security you had fitted at the time it was stolen. Hopefully once enough people have posted on it we can get a better feel of what security measures work best.

Cheers
