I have only just joined the Land Rover fraternity, albeit rather traumatically: I purchased a Land Rover on 23rd December 2010, had it stolen on 29th December 2010 and received my Scottish Land Rover Club membership card today.
It is a 1991 Defender 90, painted an unusual matt black with black canvas hood and black external roll cage fitted with black wire mesh grilles externally over hood sides. It has a galvanised chassis and bulkhead with removable heavy duty tow hitch at the rear; an electric winch mounted on the front bumper; very large off-road tyres; raised suspension; yellow coil springs and a new Isuzu diesel engine. There is an atypical disc brake arrangement in lieu of normal handbrake drum; small lamps mounted front and rear on top of roll cage; rear internal body completely finished in chequer plate up to body capping. Other special dashboard switches etc make this Land Rover easily identifiable. Currently it has the private number plates KVC1V attached.
