Probably because a swollen find is a remarkable occurrence. Someone has been very lucky whilst the teeves waited to see if the vehicle was tracked I guess.

The guy just had a brain fart and forgot that he had taken it to the shops. Walked home and suddenly noticed the car wasnt there.
