If your lucky there might be someone on here with a 'syncmate' who can come and help you out. I had this, the code in the Becm and the engine code do not match (don't ask - I don't know), the gadget or landrover diagnosics kit will allow them to 'sync' and all should be well again, mine did it when the battery went flat.

Bingo. You have lost sync. Get yourself a Syncmate or someone with some Land Rover diagnostic equipment. I would recommend the Syncmate cause it will happen again and you can keep it in the glove box to bail you out in the future.

Good job,you really have to spoonfeed some people ,dont you.:D:D:D

Saint nailed it on the first post. However alot of us don't notice things until its too late. Not sure I could list the lamps that come on when I turn on the ignition never mind trying to spot the one that didn't. When the wife's 99 Thor wouldn't start at Christmas I refused to accept it had lost sync cause the check engine lamp was on and engine would crank. Little did I know it all changed withbthe Bosch system.
Anyway main thing is that hopefully the OP will lets us know when it is sorted. :p

With mine it just cranked and cranked, once the autologic kit was plugged in the becm code and the engine code were not the same, it was reset and then it fired up first time.
