must confess am still surprised that the op airbag blew whilst doing a re calibration where the car soft V3 stopped the calibration process , curious if maybe the ecu has become corrupted and therefore loosing the height settings or is out of its normal range

did advise the op to see if maybe putting a 12vdc supply directly to the compressor , therefore getting it hopefully within the range of the height sensor settings and allowing the edu to then take over again ?

don’t know if it will work but got to be worth a go
 
I suspect that may just pressurise the tank, the valves need to open to raise the car.

must confess did suggest to the op to see if adding a 12 Vdc supply directly to the compressor may help with the engine running, to then hold the up button for 5 x seconds whilst having foot on the brake

indeed a good point but see the op whilst doing a recalibration one of the air bags blew which I’m very curious of why it done that

also Wondering as it’s flat on its bump stops if it’s more than likely gone out of the range height settings for the ecu so maybe if the OP can get some air in the system to then get it within the height sensor range if the ecu will then take over if it sees its back in range

ur correct though that some of the valve blocks won’t be open seeing there no lights on at the suspension height lever indicating the ecu has locked out which needs re activating

from what I can gather the OP jacked the vehicle up without removing the battery or disabling the suspension , so the struts will be hanging so to speak and then as the airbag blew it allowed all the air to escape, which in turn would allow the struts and height sensors to suddenly drop , forcing the height sensors out of range, plus as the suspension was still live it would then struggle to try and get the vehicle back into range , but as it was out of range the ecu would then hard lock and show a warning or red light

would then need a decent diagnostics to reset the ecu out of hard lock , but curious to see if it would work by supplying voltage to the compressor to get the height sensors back into range

if that doesn’t work I suspect a good code reader will be req, ie gap iid or one from a garage that can deal with landies

alas know the struts should always be replaced as a pair , OP replaced one and then the other later on , but of course always a learning curve as time passes gaining more knowledge

From that screen shot the ECU already thinks the rear is maxed out so I'd be surprised if it tried to put more air in.
My guess is calibration mode wipes the current settings and starts again but if it's in fault condition I suspect it won't try.

Agree re blowing airbag, maybe it was already on it's was out otherwise I'd have thought the pressure release valve would have kicked in if the 2007 model still has them.

I mentioned jacking the vehicle up earlier in thread, would that get sensors in range?

Also does anyone know if suspension ecu can be reset with his icarsoft? I've got icarsoft lrv2 if that's any help as well

I think all the basics need to be double checked first tho, battery voltage/sensor fitment/sensor wiring etc. But fact there's no lights on suspension or terrain response controls is concerning

hi, before I forget to ask with the engine running , have u tried moving the steering wheel lock to lock to see if it will clear the suspension inactive message on the dashboard and red light coming back on plse

if not hopefully putting a 12 Vdc supply to the compressor may get the height sensors back into range and therefore allowing the ecu to then see that and re activate itself ?, then try the lock to lock again, try it with and without pressing the brake pedal

if nothing works alas I think then ur have to get someone with a decent code reader to reset the ecu that’s currently in a hard lock status because the red LED light isn’t showing up on the height lever

plse let us know how u get on

The ecu already thinks the rear is maxed out so I think jacking it up won't do anything.
It may be worth checking the height sensors arms haven't turned 180 degrees but I can't see that happening tbh.

indeed and plus 1 with regards to the ecu being totally confused where it’s locked itself out

must confess never heard of an air strut actually blowing out and as u rightly say would have thought the relief would have kicked in, unless thats inactive due to a fault or wiring issue or blocked

certainly wouldnt hurt that’s for sure in jacking it up front and back

indeed seeing there’s no light at the height lever the ecu has locked itself out , to be honest not 00% sure if the carsoft can do it, only found the follower but that’s for the V3

Good point re the SAS calibration, my 2005 needs a lock to lock after a battery disconnect, not sure about a 2007 though.

Basically the suspension ECU had fit and got all confused thinking the rear was maxed out. My mate checked all fuses and relays....all ok, I suggested I'll put the lowest value into icarsoft suspension calibration...379....low and behold.....it lifted to off road, then lowered to standard. The suspension ECU is now not confused
