hello just been out all day pay and play. as soon as i hit tarmac again i noticed the steering doesn't go back to centre on its own, it stays exacttly where you turn it to. could i have knocked the tracking out or could it be more serious? i have heavy duty steering rods so i don't think i could bend them.

tis the damper you can see the bend in the middle. damn those pesky tree stumps!! wondering if i can just tryb and pull it downwards to try and straighten it out or have to buy new new?

I have sumo bars and today I noticed that I have bent one so don't think hey can't be....

Self centring dampers are about £40 from terrafirma

if its a disco i was advised to relocate it from behind the axle to infront of the axle...if i remember correctly that means from the drag link to the track rod (or is it the otherway around)

this places it out of the way somewhat and means its less likely to get bent in the future !

all you need is a relocating kit but mine is a home made relocating kit via a mate who is far more knowledgeable than me !

Moved my std damper to the drag link and made myself a mount. Been like it for over a year and its all good. Thoroughly recommend it.
