I investigated using some mgf knobs but the shafts were shorter in length. I had bought some aftermarket alloy knobs so I cut the shafts off along with the front of the original knobs and then bonded the two together and then added some chrome trims for added bling.

Just kept washing my knobs til they were clean again. No more sticky stuff
