Hi. I have a range rover td6 2004 lm edition. Only radio and cd. No nav or sub. I changed headunit to aftermarket , but it is extreme bad. Is it possible for example to get a complete system from a 2006 and install it ? Is wiring totally different or could supply with a ext. Wiring kit ? Very thankful some help lads.

I think the layer kit is a lot different , fibre optic maybe although there was a changeover period where the BMW manufactured cars got the later stereo , I think @anorakmark has such an model but might be wrong.
I think you could fit the vogue headset and sub etc, and there was a breed version of speakers as an option but can’t remember the make.

This might help

There are a few options to upgrade everything to a non Landrover product like DAB and Bluetooth etc keeping in mind things like the clock and other onboard devices that rely on the stereo interface.
It has been done though.

See here also as they could probably help

Thanx chicken. I have installed a headunit fom atd. Is ****. Can`t use radio together with nav. Dab radio is useless. Cd player works. Cut car in pieces to install it.

I know it is the competition but have a look here if you havent already as i think there is a complete write up on the optional head units somewhere.

We have a more fundamentalist approach to range rover ownership over here. .

i once changed my spark plugs in my v8 but not in the correct firing order sequence as laid down in the gospel according to the noble Archspannermonkey Solly Hol and had to where a shirt made from the tail hair from my wife Dobbin for a month and was banned from any stable fun...

I think it might be time for a sleep.

Good luck, let us know how you get on. :)

In short.. nope.

I upgraded my satnav in my 02 with a bmw mk4 unit and that was just plug and play. Now have a bmw splash screen for a few seconds but at least I now have postcode options. Perhaps a same year head unit from a vogue with satnav and cd changer may be the way to go.

I've been keeping an eye out for solutions to this too. I have 2002 radio CD (radio intermittent and all pixels gone). Looking for a way to do bluetooth. Not fussed for sat navs or cd but also wanted a way to maybe add rear parking sensors (my L322 is very basic!). I've got a new bumper that has them in so thought I might be able to utilize them.

I've been looking at upgrading my head unit also to something more modern but my 04 Vogue has the amp in the boot & retailers advise I need a new amp -.- Let me know how you get on with this :) best of luck. Kind Regards H
