Just found a socket which looks like a scart socket but about 2/3rds the size which has been fitted under the front of the cubby box. It's a 300tdi so obviously not engine diagnostics!!! - thought it must be some sort of stereo input? any ideas what it is?

may have been a multi changer at some point

That looks exactly the same as my TD5 diagnostics socket and its in the same place as well.
