Hi all, just spent an hour or so going through old posts and searching on here but havnt found what im after. basically, my disco 1 has had the stereo plugs cut off it and im wanting to fit my head unit. ive been and bought one of those iso blocks with wires on, but there seems to be hundreds of wires in stereo slot and i really cannot be bothered spending hours going through them with multimeter. is there any information out there os wire colours to what they are. i saw a wiring diagram on here but looked fairly difficult to follow. i was hoping someone just had a list :5bparty:

what are yu looking for - the disco wiring or the ISO wiring?
Which audio system did it have?

the iso says what wire is what i.e left hand speaker + etc etc
what im after is a list of the disco wire colours. im unsure on what system i have it had wires chopped when i bought it

not really sure about the colours but normally

red - live
yellow - Ignition
blue - remote for the arial
black -earth

the rest are for the speakers

TMHM's diagrames give you the wire colours to the old head unit so match them up to the wires coming from your new head unit then you will know iso plug pin layout. Did u have a sub in the back door and a cd multi player under the seat??

there is a pocket in back door where something was but nothing there and havnt seen a multiplayer anywhere. alothough i didnt think cd's where available in 1993.

I found a device under the drivers seat, I was later told it was a CD multiplayer. Given the number of cup holders in the vehicle, a coffee machine would have been of much more use :D

Shame you didn't give you disco spec in your first post, so assuming it just a head unit your fitting then it's 4 speaker pairs + the two power supplies and an earth ...simples.
