Hi Guys...I'm new to this board. I need some advice please. I was fitting a JVC Stereo in my friends '53 TD4 Freelander last night and came accross a snag that I'm hoping someone else on here has managed to resolve. I started putting in the new stereo security frame.... I managed to secure it to the sides and top of of the dash, but it seems there is nothing to secure it to the bottom. When I put the head unit in the frame, it slips down about 4mm as there is nothing for it to stop it untill it hits the hazzard light switch fittings. Due to this, the cd player face will not oppereate as it is catching the bottom of the dash. I've tried a few audio places today and they are not aware of any facia accessories that can stop this.

Any ideas?

Cheers

try a block of hard foam under the unit (kind of stuff that doesn't squash easy, can't remember the technical term for it!!)

Yeah cheers for that. Managed to wedge a bit of cork under the unit last night. Seems fine now. Cheers.
