Sorry to bother you all again,
but today i went to drive the land rover to get it home now the the brake lights ect work but as i was driving it started to wander when it got over 15/20 mph, what do you think could be causing this and how do i fix it?

Thanks in advance
JD

worn bj's,wheel bearings, swivels out of adjustment, slack in the steering box, your ****ed or a kanckered steering relay,oh and yer tracking might be out

eh!! sober up first then check yer bj's and wheel bearings, then yer swivels

I've had the same problem. I've taken your advice, I've now sobered up but the missus is wondering what she's doing wrong with the bj's to be causing the steering to go all funny?

Should I get her to stop doing it while I'm driving? :D

I'll tell her the good news then, she'll be happy! Though still doesn't help me, now.... how should she swivel? :D

To be perfect? On whatever you put in front of her............but not while driving, it is dangerous!

Strange how these BJ's affect the steering on Rovers my EX bitch was with me in mine one night and the Rover headed for a wall.

where are the steering stop adjusters on a series3 - cant see anything in the posts or on the motor and the tyres are rubbing on the chassis.

they are on the front of the swivel, at the 3 o'clock pos as seen front the underneath of the landy... one of the securing bolts will be longer and that contacts a small plate on the axle. this plate wears so yer steering can turn more which then knackers yer steering box. the head of the adjusting screw should be 1/2" out from swivel.
