I've just been looking at those mono-lita leather steering wheels, they look well nice, you just can't beat the feel of leather can you, black leather, tight black leather........................anyway, a few options I'm not sure about though, I would imagine 15" would be best, but which is better dish or flat? Are these as good as they look or is there better kit for the money? Cheers.

I bought a 15" Leather Mountney one. What a pile of ****. It's been replaced once after I'd fitted it for only 1 day, it buckled. The new one buckles at the slightest pressure. The spokes might as well be made from tinfoil. I'll replace it as soon as I can find something better. The size and feel of it is good, but such poor quality metal.

Dunt fink leather is good for off road, it dunt like getting wet, it rots and gets all moldy.

Like it on a burds arse tho, black lether all tight un all that.

I gorra mountney one (i think) and it's great, good quality and the spokes are well strong enough - maybe i got one of the older ones? It's very nice to use!

I'm thinking this, without the holes though and Land Rover badge obviously.

that's just like mine but instead of holes it has one kind of long tear-shaped hole and a black plastic cap in the middle (presumably for a horn but not connected on mine)

thinking of changing my steering wheel but i was told by craddocks that i need to count the splines on the steering column as their are 2 types!!!!!!!

got a momo 14 inch on my defender flat type was,nt cheap but i love it gives you more leg room and looks the dogs bollocks and drive nice, and for getting mud on it well put glooves on when your going to get your hands dirty , you would,nt feel a nice ladys legs with dirty hands would you!!!

I rang Moto-lita today to order but as already stated Land Rover apparantly use different size steering columns all the time even on the same model year so I've got to take the old wheel off, count the splines and check which type of indicator set up they've used, nowts ever straight forward is it?

You wud if she's a mud wrestler, heheh

Before I take the steering wheel off can someone please tell me is there a required torque setting when I put it back, it's not a nut I want to fook up, thanks.

FT (****ing tight) there is a proper torque setting i'm sure but nobody uses it, even garages just use a 1/2" ratchet and some muscle
