Could some one please tell me how to remove the steering wheel airbag as i need to straighten the steering wheel

Remove the four Torx T30 bolts at the back of the steering wheel which will then release the air bag. You'll then be able to remove the steering wheel.

Is the steering box central when the wheel is straight? From what Ive learnt with these, if it aint been off before it shouldn't need to come off now?? Centralising box is important

You need to check a few things before you do that. If steering box is central with steering wheel central don't do it. Adjust it with drag link.

wheels are central doesn't drift and the steering wheel is out by just under a quarter turn its a previous cat c

Depends what has been done then. Maybe someone has changed the steering link and got it in the wrong place. Make sure the steering box is central, be careful with rotary coupling. The steering wheel only goes on in 5 degree increments so you may have to adjust the drag link to take the last bit out.

In the photo I've uploaded are the marks i've circled in red and blue the ones I'm supposed to get lined up? I can't see any others unless they've been covered by crap.

When box is central bolt is usually vertical. So left hand mark should line up with mark on side of steering box you can just see. Either that or there will be a cut away where left hand mark is and a hole in steering box for a locating pin.
