I have just fitted the solid bar steering rods from paddock spares. These don't have the adjustment like on the originals, so how can the tracking be sorted? I watched the bloke do the tracking. As he turned the bar (to lengthen or shorten it I presume) it showed more of the thread on the ball joint at one end. Wouldn't this just cause the bar to travel up the ball joint at the other end? There by making no actual difference to the overall length of the bar? Am I just being thick?
Cheers

There were locking nuts on both ends, but surely if the nut stops the bar from moving up the thread of one joint, how can the bar turn?
I guess I'm just being stupid!

once the bar is set to the correct length they tighten the 2 nuts at the same time and they will lock it solid

one end should of had a left handed thread on the track rod end, so when turning the bar the overall length should either get shorter or longer
