I had one years ago and although I sprayed it with WD every day for a week I had the landy jacked up on the relay and had to leave it for another week till it let go and the wheels touched the ground again, good look :D
 
Try the heat followed with lots of WD40 or try rigging an engine oil drip around it overnight with something to catch the spill. Did that 5 years ago when changing engines and last November I had to replace it and it came out no problem.
 
Hi Tony, was your replacement relay a new one? Where did you get it from? I need to do mine but I read these stories about how difficult they are and I'm the impatient sort.
