Hi, I have just fitted a new winch bumper to my Defender 90 but unfortunately the steering guard that was already fitted is not compatible with the bumper and I have had to remove it (soon to appear on ebay!). Is this likely to be a problem with all steering guards or can any recommend a compatible steering guard that I can purchase? The bumper I have fitted is a standard David Bowyer Goodwinch non-aircon winch bumper.

I have no idea how much I am looking for, but it is the same as this one (but used) if that helps:

Land rover defender, disco alloy steering guard offroad on eBay (end time 17-Jan-10 16:27:52 GMT)

can't you modify it and make it fit?
personally thats one of the things i love about my landie, having to get the welder out

Unfortunately not, I was already with the angle grinder to start chopping it about, but I cannot see how I would get it to work and I don't have any welding equipment! Thought it would be better to leave intact and sell it to help pay for a new one.....
