hmmm well aint galv just a coatin of zinc...in that case if its zinc-its jus as good as galv?!i'd only b tempted cos galvs are SHINY!!!

Steve-o, not sure where you live, but I am really close to Redditch - so if you do buy it, I can collect and then you can try to get it shipped via the LandyZone courier service...

Also I wouldn't mind a nose to see if I want one ;)

3 times LESS SHINY??it dont look no different to a normal guard, maybe 3 piece is jus the standard name??!ask the seller wat the fook he means

SHINY!

3 piece means the sides come separate from the "sledge" at the front and then bolt it onto them once they are in place (so it might be a bit easier to fit??) One piece means they are all welded together so it might be more fiddly to fit but it will probably be a bit stronger.

Got a 3 piece on from paddocks for £45 (they supplied me their £80 one coz they cocked my order up!) and it's pretty strong, had the car's full weight on it under quite some force many a time and done quite a lot of pulling of the towing eyes too.

Awesome, thanks guys.

I'll look on craddocks although I find their website a real pain to navigate!!

I just fitted a one piece to mine, was a bit tricky to get the bolts off, i ended up grinding the front 2 off and got the rear one out, then replaced the bolts all way round,
you'll need pleanty of wd40 and patience to knock the bolts back and forth to free them,
took me about an hour n half ish to get bolts out (after a nights soaking in wd40) and get the guard fitted,
your price seems fair!

Dan

Paddocks do one for £36 +vat which is what i initially intended to buy, which by all accounts is fairly reasonable and should withstand a bit of a pounding, but it might be worth going for the extra £4 or £5 for integral towing eyes.

looks good to me 3 piece is good and strong

Can you find the one on Craddocks for me? I cannot find anything cheaper than £60??

they have a pile of them on the shop floor for £40 - dont waste yer money on a galv one

the only peeps who buy galv ones are those who want them to look good and last fer years

if you need a steering guard (other than just for it to look good) it'll get beaten to death well before it'll come close to being killed by rust
