Hey all a couple of quick quesions if I may. Have recently bought a S3 109 and there is an inch gap between the top of the steering column and the dash which isn't there on my wife's 88. Is there any adjustment in the way the column can be fitted?
Also wanted to know what folks think about using 4 wheel drive with the front hubs unlocked, for instance when manoeuvring a heavy trailer?
Thanks all.

Surely if you're using four wheel drive and disengage the free wheeling hubs then it's the same as two wheel drive, what difference do you think it makes?

Hahaha sorry yes should have said low range, for better manoeuvering and less clutch work.

Cheers, was sure I could remember reading something years ago about the diff spinning or something??? But Google can't find anything.
