Well that's a good question. However mine started leaking at 6 years old, so was therefore an Adwest box as fitted by LR. These are the "expensive" ones. A reconditioned one will be an Adwest box....but reconditioned. So that begs the question, does anyone recondition to an equivalent, or better standard than Adwest. Re-chromed shaft for example? How much have you got to spend before you realise that the cheapy ones are just not worth the money?

Contact jamesmartin,he will know the answer to your question.Well, what a wealth of info on here these days.
you cant get better than new, if shafts grooved/pitted which is why replacing seals doesnt often last long or box is set up badly, you can use sleevesWell that's a good question. Thanks for info James and agree on new. But cost is everything at the moment. Might have to take the risk on recon again. Found a supplier who re-chromes the shaft, so that's an option. What is the process using sleeves??you cant get better than new, if shafts grooved/pitted which is why replacing seals doesnt often last long or box is set up badly, you can use sleeves
I think that was one of the ones I looked at on ebay. Any feedback on it would be helpful.I payed £160 for mine with two years warranty from Autosteer direct
