hi i have a 01 td5 auto. 14 months ago i had fitted a land rover recon steering box as the original was leaking .14 months and 9000 miles later leaking again. icontacted the supplier a local independant land rover dealer who statedthey had no end of problems with the land rover recon steering boxes .land rover though will not addmit there is aproblem though.the problem is as the dealer said if i get another of the same its keep your fingers crossed this doesnt leak as well. any one out ther know of a supplier who supplies a recon steering box thats got a fighting chance of lasting a few years.?

I Don,t recommend recon as from my experence with paddocks , all a recon box is a old box with a new seal . If your old box has any wear then they fail it as a rerurned unit .
I've had several recon steering boxes over time and they all seem to leak around 12 month or befor. This time I've gone for new.
