Hi everyone, anyone know what size allen key fits the adjustment grub screw on my powersteering box on my 1990 200tdi 110 (orignally a 2.5td)

It looks like a 7mm but is it more likley to be imperial? if so what is the imperial size i need?

Thanks James, it looks like someone has previously mashed it then as my 6 mm is to small and 8mm is to big.

Is it difficult to change/ remove the grub screw?

its part of sector shaft so wouldnt be able to new as indivdual new part

Oh dear, are there any better/ stronger boxes to fit like a td5 or any idea how to adjust this one?

3 bolt rrc is strongest ,but std 4 bolt should be all you need

Hi all.
I take it the adjustment being discussed will take care of any play in the steering ? Will the seal kits available on ebay etc take care of any play as well as my box is leaking a bit ?

it may take care if play is in box adjust when box is central as this is tightest point and rock input by hand to feel freeplay been removed,seals can often cure leak as long as shaft isnt pitted
