But looking on the bay an Amazonia it appears to be representative, but for sure 5ltrs of it in a can that you spray on with a compressor looks to be the cheapest option.

From what I read it's about 3 cans to do chassis. 750ml cans. I don't think that's bad value for money for the quality of their products. I've read reviews that it's even self healing! Looking forward to coating the lot in epoxy mastic. I'd like to paint the whole thing in the end. Outside n all. Something military. May be an raf grey/blue or desert rat sand colour. Matt/satin obviously!

@dieseldog69 did your camper plans ever go anywhere and did you fit that heater? Once I've welded up I'm looking to do a slide out bed, bed for the dog and couple cupboards. Was going to insulate and ply the lot. Want to obviously do it in a way that won't trap moisture too. Will probably put a leisure (or traffic light lol) battery in on one of those voltage sensitive relays. Primitive but it's easy for me. Would be interested in heater going in. As you know, the biggest issue with dogs is they don't live long enough. want to get out on moors etc and make some memories with him. Half reason I bought truck was for dogs lol

I've had to put the camper plans on long term hold as parenthood looms in the near horizon but I am certainly going to be fitting the heater after I've rebuilt the boot floor and fitted the back seats.
I know exactly what you mean, we travelled all over Europe with our Border Collie, it was amazing, we look back on pictures of her swimming in the lakes in Bruges, tramping the peat bogs in Ireland, climbing hills in the Belgian Ardennes, playing in the snow in the Black Forest in Germany, we miss her everyday, even with having the little terrorists and ankle biters in the making
If I were ply lining the back out I would be tempted to use 20x20x1.5mm box section welded onto the floor to create an air gap under the ply so that there is no place that can get and stay damp.

Then I 're did my arch. Welding was rubbish and nagging at me so I ripped it out. I then made a patch work quilt out of all my thin off cuts. Might look dopey but don't really care as it'll be boarded over. It's definitely stronger than standard lol
If anyone is curious about this electrox primer I can say it definitely sticks well!! First attack with wire wheel just polished it up! The surfex degreaser works wonders too. Brilliant products. Slapped some deox on the chassis to sit overnight also.

Whilst I was on my trawl of eGay for a few bits for my own motor I happened upon these and remembered you started a thread asking about the mud seal between the inner and outer wings on the rear wheel arches.

Cheers for that. Not a prayer of me paying 40 for that though lol. I'll prob go with the seal you put in thread. I've seen that I have one on other side to measure off. No wonder half of Somerset was in that rear quarter. I needed to hose down drive before I swept it due to so much dust lol. Just welding the a frame up now mate

Good work, it's way too hot for me to be out there playing in my little sun trap of a parking space, but I did get to MachineMart and blow £150 on a new regulator, hose, cutting and grinding discs, had to buy a new 5kg spool of wire too as the one that was on had got a fair but of surface rust on it, I found some spot weld drill bits too while I was at it, still forgot to grab the gauntlets but I guess there is still time for that.

A frame down. I can weld lovely until I'm at a horrible angle lol. The back side closest to driver was a complete pain. I should have chopped more of the floor for better access. Instead I got it from underneath. It's all good though and will actually look ok with a flap wheel put on it. A good lot of progress this weekend.

Started cleaning the bay whilst deox was at work. My washer bottle bolts just spin and I can't see how I can lock then in place without et fingers?
Got the chassis on the side I'm working on fairly clean. Painted after. So much effort on such little sections! I break it down into areas otherwise it's just tiresome
