Well I'm stupid enough not to have realised this sooner. However My spare wheel is a steel wheel yet I only have Alloy Wheel nuts.

Anyone know if anywhere local does steel wheel nuts?

Halfords? Motor Factors?

Or anywhere on the way from here to Wales? Little broad I know :p

the bay of e is a good place to buy those.;)

I changed my steel wheels for alloys a few months ago and have a bag of steel wheel nuts with no home.

If you wanted some (all of them) the only issue would be getting them to you.

I could probably get away with putting them in a small DHL box if you PM me your address and tell me how many you'd like?

Yeah I know I can get em online, wanted to find some today. Rang loads of people either closed or have none..

Going to Wales tomorrow so could have done with a spare wheel/tyre....

I assume I cannot fit a steel wheel on with alloy nuts and drive?

you can,but you must check them for tightness every so often.be careful though.

Yes, you can. I have had to do it a couple of times. Your thread has reminded me that I also need to get some steel wheel nuts! :)

Depends on the alloy fitting profile, may well be they won't go into the centering area of the steel wheel, wouldn't stop me using it for a short distance, as long as they tighten against the wheel itself. Will damage your studs if not held firm.

Worst it could possibly be would be getting a flat in the middle of a lane then a 200 mile drive back.

Better than my last spare. Current are 265/75 spare was 235/55!!
