Has anyone used this stuff.

I have a 300 which on a 250 mile drive has lost 1/4 of the header tank a little white smoke on star up. No water in the oil. Thought might be worth a punt rather than 300+ for head gasket.

ive heard p[eople having some success for how long i dont know but its such a simple job to do the head gasket and usually cheap, worth checking cooling system is functioning well ie check rad gets hot all over, a new thermostat, system is full by removing plug on thermostat housing and filling to over flowing etc or any repair will be short lived

Just posted this on another post:
Or stick some K-Seal in it :D Head gasket went on my old Ford Explorer - got quoted a couple of grand to fix (4litre V6 on gas). Cured it and ran for years after with no problems!

Never heard of Steel Seal but it sounds like a similar product. Worked well for me ...

Unless you're scrapping it if it fails- fix it properly

Bit of difference in the cylinder pressures of a Ford Exploder petrol engine to a Tdi diesel, and temporary fixes are just that.......temporary.
Fix it properly now with a new gasket and save the expense and inconvenience of wrecking what is probably still a good head.
