Hi can any1 help me out abit,i have a disco 200tdi,yesterday i came back from shopping parked car up,went back out about 30 mins later and nothing it tuns over but dont start,so i changed fuel filter as thought it maybe that and blead it up and still nothing can anyone give me some advice plz?
 
Does it just keep cranking over and won't start? Or does it show signs of starting? Is it a slow cranking?
 
its cranking over but not starting,will fire on easy start but cuts out when you stop spraying easy start into intake manifold

Sounds like its not getting fuel, crack off 1 of the injector pipes and try firing it up again see if diesel comes out,
 
Had this once before injectors were leaking when switched off and had to regain pressure when cranked to start again
 
Check fuel is comming out of all four injectors pipes, so you can eleminate any blocks,if ok try glow plugs and its relay its cold by now and in need of warming first if it fires with your gas fuel its one or the other.Oh and go introduce yourself to every one for your mocking initiation :)

mocking pal dont follow? only after a bit of help bud been on this site for along time bud
 
ok so down to the glowplugs,just pulled them out and the 2nd 1 is full of oil wet oil not seen this 1 b4,think i will try and order some new glowplugs and try that but not happy with oil being 3 quarters the wat up them,any thoughts would be very helpfull

Weaping valve seal most Likely.
 
no probs pal lol,its doing my brain in this lol,i had valve stem oil seals done about 2 months ago hmmmmmm dang i wish i studyed more and became a macanic lol

My 300tdi plugs were always wet your will know when the seals are getting bad your get the blue smoke comming out the exhaust ie burning oil change your plugs all should be fine :)
 
thanks pal will go and get some tomoz and fingers crossed it will work lol,hope so bad weather is coming and could do with it up and running,thanks for your help will keep you informed

Get good quality OEM preferable Beru or LR genuine ETC8847...
 
Make sure it's not just a dribble of fuel coming out the injectors, but a normal amount and you've bled it all properly.
 
ok so replaced glow plugs and blead it up again and guess what lol,hmmm no joy,emptyed cilidifier and still no joy,this is starting to get me peed off lol anything else you guys can surgest??
